Compressive Imaging of Subwavelength Structures
نویسنده
چکیده
The problem of imaging periodic structure (source or scatterer) is formulated in the framework of compressed sensing with special attention on subwavelength resolution. It is shown that in this formulation the subwavelength resolution in the presence of noise can not be achieved by compressed sensing techniques alone. Additional techniques such as near-field measurement or illumination are required and the resolution limit is derived, which says that the smallest stably resolvable scale is about either half the wavelength or the distance of the sensors to the target, whichever is smaller. Numerical simulations are consistent with the theoretical prediction.

Compressive Imaging of Subwavelength Structures ∗ Albert
The problem of imaging extended targets (sources or scatterers) is formulated in the framework of compressed sensing with emphasis on subwavelength resolution. The proposed formulation of the problems of inverse source/scattering is essentially exact and leads to the random partial Fourier measurement matrix in the case of periodic targets. In the case of square-integrable targets, the proposed...

A compressed sensing scheme for near-field imaging of corrugations of relative sparse Fourier components is proposed. The scheme employs random sparse measurement of near field to recover the angular spectrum of the scattered field. Surprisingly, it can be shown heuristically and numerically that under the Rayleigh hypothesis the angular spectrum is compressible and amenable to compressed sensi...

The combination of an optical microscope and a luminescent probe plays a pivotal role in biological imaging because it allows for probing subcellular structures. However, the optical resolutions are largely constrained by Abbe's diffraction limit, and the common dye probes often suffer from photobleaching. Here we present a new method for subwavelength imaging by combining lanthanide-doped upco...

We analyzed capabilities and functionalities of a multisegment superlens recently suggested for long-distance transport of color images with subwavelength resolution. We studied the performance of threeand six-segment nanolens structures by analyzing numerically both transmission and reflection coefficients and by employing the full-wave simulations for a particular source arrangement. Our resu...
متن کاملMetalenses at visible wavelengths: Diffraction-limited focusing and subwavelength resolution imaging.
Subwavelength resolution imaging requires high numerical aperture (NA) lenses, which are bulky and expensive. Metasurfaces allow the miniaturization of conventional refractive optics into planar structures. We show that high-aspect-ratio titanium dioxide metasurfaces can be fabricated and designed as metalenses with NA = 0.8. Diffraction-limited focusing is demonstrated at wavelengths of 405, 5...
